Yeah. Those are all great tips for dealing with shotguns. They aren't counters, they are stopgap measures. They generally work well, but Supremacy has exposed the cancer in the shotgun archetypes. Spent a game on Cauldron, died solely to supers and shotguns. That shouldn't happen. Ever.

Supremacy is made for CQC. Considering we have to go and pick up crests and you have to go up to it to deny it.

Well to be fair, Supremacy is a fast-paced close quarter game mode. Of every single match i've played, all the fighting usually takes place in one spot on the map. Obviously shotguns would be the most logical secondary to use.

To be fair, ARs and HCs should be perfect for close quarters, and those are primaries. Yet people can successfully main shotguns instead. That's a problem.

The problem isn't with shotguns though in that instance. It's the primaries that need help. You have autos that shoot marshmallows and hand cannons that live and die strictly by RNG. These are problems.

If a primary can beat out a shotgun in Destiny's -blam!-ed gank range, we have a problem.

Maybe so. Shotguns are much more limited than AR's and HC's though. Even with the surplus of special ammo.

No. I'm not complaining about dying. I'm complaining that I never died to a primary. Clearly there is a balance problem.

Or you were up against people who didn't like their primaries. I've played whole matches where I did nothing but punch. If you're getting stomped by specials, try denying them ammo.

I'm not complaining I got stomped. Stomping happens. I'm complaining that the ammo economy is such that an entire team can purely run specials, because that makes no sense. They're called specials.

Denying special should bring their shotgun use down to zero. I should not need to deny it to bring it to reasonable levels.

I agree, I ended up saying -blam!- it and put on universal with my secondary being the vacancy all my problems went away
