All I want to know is what the -blam!- FWC is up to. Reading the armor pieces gives us insight that it is truely a cult. The grimorie is creepy. Also, just as speculation to the name, what war are they predicting?

They're preparing for the return of the darkness (the queen of final shapes) They have an old golden age device that apparently somewhat mimics a vex gate system and "lifts the veil" which allows the user to see the future. Problem is, it show multiple timelines, meaning the one user 1 saw might not be the same timeline that user 2 saw. In all the records they've done, they found that the only and only constant, is war and darkness. So they've been preparing for the return of the darkness ever since.
