It seems they get their health back, and you can melee all you want they won't change back to enemies until the timer is up

At first I too thought they were gaining their health back but I eventually disproved it. The reverting ability is absolutely true and seems to be common knowledge from other posts I've seen relating the Memory of Timur. Keep in mind the 5 second cooldown timer I mentioned.
