Bungie is aware of the issue and are investigating

Seems to be more associated with year 3 thorn quest out of sinc with progress. Icon jumps ahead 1 step with each progression.

Year 2 player. Never got the Thorn bounty but I do have a waypoint above the Tower...

This would be so grand if i had ever done the yr 1 thorn quest. I abandoned it ages ago. And the ship that used to trigger it doesnt do it anyorr
