Fantastic posts mate. Keep the stories coming. Just one question: why do you refer to yourself your Awoken character as "their"?

So Ghostwriter got in touch with me (thanks!) and sent me this reply:
You asked why I'm using "they/their" pronouns for Solm. I never thought about what made someone "gender-neutral" and I wasn't sure what that would even be like. But then I got to college and meet a few people who did identify as gender neutral and by God they really are. it wouldn't be fair to them to call them "him" or "her." I feel the same way about Solm, in that it would be unfair to characterise them as strictly masculine or femenine. Solm is my attempt to naturally write a gender-neutral character without that being their defining characteristic.

Look, I'll just clear it up here so this discussion need not continue. Some people do not identify with a gender. This can be for any number of reasons, but it's often because they don't feel they fit in either two defined genders. I'm sure everyone, you included, Chris99, would love if their opinions were true. I definitely would too, to be honest, but especially in this day and age, we must come to terms with the fact that people can be whoever they like and identify with whatever they like. It's your right to argue against this, but it may not be the wisest of decisions, especially when you're arguing against something that is accepted in our modern social paradigm. You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, so I don't want you to think that I'm saying you're not. I'm just trying to explain that an open mind is what we need as a culture, as a race, to advance in every aspect.
