My gut says it was not an accident, but for aesthetics. To make it look more like a movie or something, but I just think it got too heavy handed.

Lol wayyyyyy too heavy i figure they tested it on a 1080p tv and not 4k not realizing how hard it would hit us, although starwars battlefront did grain well but at least gave a option to lessin it or turn it off at least

Yeah I could see that. Hard to know really. I don't mind it, but I could do with dialing it down a little bit for sure.
