No one should be surprised... he yanked our troops out of Iraq over, pretty much, hurt feelings... that left a dandy of an unneeded vacuum.

  • He practically got voted in because everyone was tired of the longest war in american history and he promised to pull the troops. Dont even try "he was voted because he was black"

  • Yes, but he ultimately yanked the troops over feelings.

  • Untimely? Opinion. One created because of the fool that was bush in the first place. Obama got to pull the troops cause thats what the majority of americans wanted. No "but"s about it.

He didn't pull the troops in Iraq because of his election promise, he yanked them because the Iraqi government was being difficult... in fact, almost every commander there thought it would be a mistake to vacate Northern Iraq, especially. It's okay if you want to protect the President, but he didn't leave because of strategy and ISIS got its foothold, because the vacuum that was left by our troops getting yanked earlier than advised... As far as he election promises, he's been a complete failure.

A complete failure, really? Let's see...Got the troops out of Iraq, check. Established some sane form of healthcare (at the very least a step in the right direction), check. Rebounded an economy from a recession the U.S. hadn't seen since the great depression, check. Not to mention he did all this with a congress that blocks 99% of his ideas, and a drunk speaker that like a crossed arm child refused to even meet with him. I'd argue to say it was almost a complete success. As far as Iraq...we NEVER should have thought about going in there in the Bush (redneck cowboy getting revenge for a vendetta against his father) place. There never, not until the end of days, would have been a "strategic" time to remove troops from Iraq after the mess Bush caused. I wish Obama would have yanked the troops as his first action in the White House! So, now we have 30,000 radicals (ISIS) to deal with. Would have been worse leaving the troops there.

  • None of those "accomplishments" are actually accomplishments. They're actually just sad reminders of how truly weak and incompetent his presidency truly is. Obamacare is a step in the right direction? How about a horribly flawed system that forces itself on people, breaking nearly every promise he made to get it implemented... saying that about healthcare and then bashing Bush for Iraq is about as narrow-minded and hypocritical as anyone can get. The fact is, Iraq had restrictions it agreed to following the Gulf War, it continuously broke those restrictions for years, it got what it deserved. If you're going to give a country an ultimatum, you better be willing to back it up, something weaklings like Obama completely fails on... the international landscape is proof of it.

  • I don't know if there was intel of WMDs, what I do know, is that Iraq continuously broke agreements, brought about by their loss during the Gulf War, for a decade. So yeah, they got what they deserved. Spare rod, spoil the child. :)
