We have no idea what happened to Efrideet at all. So I'm not sure where this "quitting" is coming into play. All we know is she is MIA - that's it. Saying you're right at this current point in time, is a false statement. Maybe after day one of release - after you finish (we finish) the story we can re-address this.

I think she wanted use siva for herself to become more powerful, and that the first fight with siva (where lord died) was a theater play and she returns the plague to create an army for her (splicers)

Actually I think I heard somewhere that she went on to join a group of nonviolent guardians to further her knowledge of the light. It might have been in one of the Game informer articles, can't remember.

Efrideet is actually going to be sad because she didn't die with the iron lords, so I'm sure she will be happy when she sees Saladin as they haven't seen each other in ages. Anyways this is just speculation.
