The concept that compassion and empathy is inherently limited to any particular group of people or type of person is partially what encourages negativity and malice, when really, we're all the same at our most basic level; simple, temporal beings seeking a sense of contentment in an apathetic universe. The universe can't care about us, so why not make an effort to care about each other? I'm aware my opinion means very little, but that is my logic behind it.

I told the honest truth of my situation when I came here. I didn't ask for money, nor did I accept any offerings of it. All I came for was support in a bad time, and it flowed like a river. I can understand someone doing something similar, so I offer the support like it was offered to me. If the story's fake, I don't lose anything. If it's true, I might've just helped someone during a rough time. You can pity me if you wish, but that being said, there's no need to do so.

A cynic's attitude is marked by skepticism and mistrust, which is something that would be an accurate description of the attitude you show here, but nothing to do with overall happiness. Cynicism doesn't determine one's emotional state.

True, I see where you got that. And as I said, I apologize if this was incorrect. However, to be realistic, cynicism is a general perspective/philosophy, which ordinarily carries over into multiple aspects of an individual's life. You are a case where it doesn't, which isn't inherently negative or positive, but it is (to my knowledge) a more unusual case.
