I don't even care about the gun that much but the argument " is hasnt been touched since year one so leave it alone" is not only the dumbest argument anyone could think of but is also just not true. Just because it hasn't been "buffed" (did get a range boost) since year one doesn't mean it's fine the way it is.
Every shotgun ( with the acception of UR) doesn't spawn with Max ammo, this makes the UR better than every other shotgun in that you don't have to worry about conserving ammo.
Primary ttk has been increased so much that just having a shotgun as you primary instantly makes you netter than someone with a standard primary (if you avoid long sight lines and such)
Hell if you are worried about long distance engagement you can just run UR and a sniper.
Im not a fan of nerfing things to make the game better but If Bungie plans on nerfing things in this game based on balance then the UR is absolutely the next thing on the chopping block.

Yes UR is strong against the other primary's in close quarters but that's literally it. But if you're caught in the open you lose almost every time unless you can weasel away. UR isn't even that popular. The meta is vast right now with MIDA, Hawksaw, Suros PDX, UR, NLB, and snipers, shotguns and fusions all being entirely viable. This is the best the crucible had been since the beta and it was only fun then because every weapon available was bad.

I'm not saying its "op" and I never dissed this crucible meta. All I said was that as a shotgun it outclasses every other shotgun right now and IF bungie decides they want to nerf something then the UR is probably what they will pick.

The only advantage it has compared to other shotguns is the ammo. Other than that it's pretty much the same
