PS4 issues.

Recently I decided to get a monitor for my ps4. It doesn't have an hdmi port so I got a hdmi to dvi with audio port. I disabled hdcp but it keeps telling me that I need to change some setting to 1600x900 60 Hz. What do I do??

  • The monitor should have a set of buttons, look for one that is the settings, go through and set your monitor to that resolution and refresh rate. Most likely it is set to a default that is higher than what the output from the ps4 can do, and that is where your conflict is. All else equal, Google the model number of the monitor on the back, and look for a user guide.

  • Try setting the PS to output 720p. Your monitor is probably 900p max and the PS is set at 1080p.

    • Out of curiosity, what is your monitors max resolution?

      • Not buy monitors without hdmi ports for a start.
