The Last Word story ends at Dwindler's Ridge sometime between Six Fronts and Twilight Gap.
That means guardian Shin Malphur could still be alive, but its not looking good. There are only three (maybe four) people I can think of around Six Fronts that are still around today, and at least two of them died.
Osiris*, Toland*, and the Speaker. Maybe Saint-14.
*Dead, but still kicking it as Light
Shin Malphur was special, though. He could wield the Light without being chosen. He wasn't the chosen dead like us, he was just a Boy trying to survive this harsh new world.
He might not be around today, but you can bet your grandma's dentures his story is not over

Also Saladin was alive right?
-
Maybe. Dunno if Saladin was there. The Iron Lords are an old group. Saladin, Gheleon, and co. were the last of them.
-
Maybe he's Amanda's... Grandfather?
-
That would be awesome.
-
That would be a great way to play it.

Osiris could well be alive, its a theory he comes up in the queen grimoire. And it does sound like him. Last we defenitly know is that he was in the vex gates exploring
-
Yea, Osiris is alive. Confirmed by Luke Smith. He is the man in Queen 2 and he is a part of the trio (Queen, Eris, Osiris) that surround Skolas and Oryx. The dude is obsessed with patterns and is working to talk with the Nine, particularly while they are weak when touching our world.

No were in Destiny story, G.cards or the lore that tells us a ghost could only chose dead ppl. I think a ghost did chose him while he was in Training.
-
What? Jaren Ward's ghost did choose Shin. All I said was that Shin was not the chosen dead like us, which makes him extra special.
-
Ahh ok.
