Yeah, aside from the Mirror Knight and Pursuer, the vanilla game doesn't have many memorable bosses. The DLC come with SOTFS, fortunately. Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon and the Fume Knight are amazing fights.
Does the Fume Knight have anything to do with the Fume Ultra Greatsword?
Haven't encountered the Mirror Knight yet. Does it mirror your attacks or something? The Pursuer is cool though. I like how it kinda stalks you, too.
Yeah. The Fume Ultra Greatsword was the Fume Knights main weapon. He also carried a shortsword which you could get in DS2. You can get his armor in DS2 as well.
The Looking Glass Knight, which is his "official name," or the Mirror Knight, is memorable due to his unique attacks and character design. He can also summon other players within your soul range to fight alongside him. His shield, which looks like a magic mirror, can deflect all forms of magic and miracles. He can use lightning attacks, which do more damage since it's raining in the boss arena, and he takes less damage from fire. So do you, just in case a pyromancer invades during the fight. If you want to invade someone fighting him, put your redsign down in the area before him and he can summon you.
That's one of many problems with the game. Bosses are -blam!-ing stupid and have no mechanics. You'll love fighting the giant lord. He's basically a clone of the last giant.
One of my disappointments was getting to the ancient dragon and expecting an epic fight. Pretty much a fatter and slower version of the previous wyvern boss, not to mention a shitload of health to really drag the fight on.
Haven't fought the wyvern yet. So I have no clue what that fight's like. But yeah, there aren't really any mechanics at all to the boss fight. At least that's what it feels like.
