Don't waste your money.

I didn't. Steam shared from a friend because I was skeptical. But I kid you not, on that Friday afternoon when I booted it up one of my first thoughts was "Man, Psychic is gonna be pissed..."
-
Oh, Steam Share doesn't work. If you leave the planet you are on and come back down, all of your discoveries will be rewritten as the person who owns them. Really? That's kind of cool actually.
-
I'll be honest, I didn't play the game long enough to travel to different planets. I got bored and frustrated before I got a chance to witness that BS :P
-
I tried everything to fix it and I even emailed Hello Games but I got some random error code and they said "Thanks for telling us" and that was it. Overall, not a good experience in the least. And the optimization? Oh man, that was the worst part.

Unless my system just tanked through the fps drops, I managed to remain somewhat stable after a while (it was no means good, but it at least wasn't 10). The big thing that really pissed me off upon opening was firstly that it crashed twice. And secondly, on the morning of the PC launch Sean posted a picture on twitter with it on a triple monitor setup and the caption of something along the lines of telling pc players to get ready. I was shaking with anticipation to get home and try it, but it ended up being the worst 5760 I've ever seen.
-
Wow, that sucks. I don't use multiple monitors so I didn't get affected by that. I have a GTX 1080, I7 6700k, and a Gigabyte Motherboard. It should have been a cake walk when it was hardly hitting 30 fps. After restarting the game multiple times to change settings I got it to max out at 60 fps (still max textures, shadows, etc) but it definitely wasn't solid. It may be the worst PC port I have ever played.

Edited by Psyntifik: 8/22/2016 6:30:43 PMGames like Battlefield, The Witcher and The Division are phenomenal with it (The Witcher is a bit too demanding to not expect some drops here and there). And games like WoW work well because of all the stuff you can have open and available without having to go through menu's and clicks. I genuinely could have forgiven HG for the bad port. They are a small team and sometimes shit happens - it would eventually be patched. But to delay the PC release for 3 days and then get me excited about a resolution that doesn't exist before releasing a broken game? No. No chance.
