I think I would have got into it if it didn't have the dark souls title.
Feels like an old PS3 rpg I'd play, but since it has the souls name and feels completely different I couldn't do it.

I got myself to accept it as it is, they tried something new and in the opinion of many (myself included), it's a bit of a letdown compared to the first and third.
