history lesson: when the ancients surveyed the land to build a new city, they massively -blam!-ed up and made New Orleans in a bowl that was under sea level. levees are the only thing keeping it dry. this isn't new orleans flooding again, ist is parts of the state that never have flooded before being flooded, entire counties worth of people without warning, without food, without shelter.
