I don't understand, actually. There are no transgender people. Either you're male or female. If someone "used to be" (physically) be male and is "now" female, she is female, not transgender. It's not like they changed their gender, they were always female.

Indeed. I'll be honest, it just popped into my head as I said ladies and gentlemen. Probably should have occurred to me that transgender isn't a third gender, just the state of having transitioned from one to another.

Actually, that's why I don't understand that weird how many genders are there debate/joke. I have no idea what kind of people want to be referred to as a third gender.

Well yes, some people's identities are a little more complicated. Like, some people may identify as "gender fluid." But really, lots of trans people like myself just want to be respected and seen as the opposite gender we were assigned at birth. We don't ask for anything more than that.

If someone isn't an asshole, I'll respect them no matter what they think or believe ^_^ You can be a cis white straight Christian male or a black Satanist pansexual gender fluid person -- just don't be mean :)
