That all sounds like you are looking for a religion for the sake of having religion. As an ex christian who was raised in a very religious family it became apparent to me that christianity is a fraud. Given that christianity and islam have the same god I would suggest that neither is your best option.

I'm looking at both because I want to worship what I believe to be the true God. And since both worship the same God, I'm looking into which is correct
