Prior to September 22th, 2009, the Recon Armor was awarded to some players by Bungie for certain accomplishments, for example beating a team of Bungie Employees in Matchmaking on [url=http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Bungie_Day]7/7/2009[/url]. With the Release of [url=http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo_3:_ODST]Halo 3: ODST[/url] on 9/22/2009, the Road to Recon was released, giving everyone who completed the [url=http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Vidmaster_Challenges]Vidmaster Challenges[/url] the option to unlock the Recon Armor via the bungie.net website. Recon Armor was released to all Halo 3 Players on March 29th, 2012, when Bungie handed over the Halo Franchise to 343 Industries.
