I don't think it has anything to do with being ready. If I found myself in a situation where my irresponsibility led to a pregnancy with my child, I'd take care of it if I had to. It's more that as far as I can tell I just have no desire to be a parent. Which isn't to say I'd be a bad one. I feel like nothing will come of it, honestly. It'll be the elephant in the room until it does and when I have to be honest, which I will be, it'll come out.

You can't be in a relationship with just her. As soon as you're in a relationship with her you're in a relationship to the kids too. She's not going to ditch her kids to just hang out with you. And if she's the type of person to do that.....would you want to be with someone like that?
