Hey I've already pre ordered on the ps store, is the gun you get from gamestop really that good?

Probably not. The ship wasn't much better either, probably just one or two extra "slots" like the ship was.

Ok I was just starting to get worried that I missed out on something when I saw the promotion online, as it wasn't in my store. Then again, I only saw the promotion on an American site, and I'm European.

Nope. In fact you can get all kinds of upgrades on your first planet. Had a friend that started last night & played a couple hrs & already found 2 new multi-tools so you probably aren't missing much in regards to the pre-orders.
