Make it a knife on a chain so it doesnt have infinite range. And they could add that you could throw it to a wall and it slingshots you towards it like a grapple. Same for enemies you could grapple on to and pull yourself towards them.

That's would be something that I feel like the night stalker would do because they would shoot there bow somewhere and then have some sort of rope they are attached to

Yes but the Nightstalker only has 3 arrows max. The bladedancer only uses some energy for a move like that
