Snipers have gotten touched twice. Look at fusion rifles. They had gotten nerfed 5 or 6 times before they got a single buff. If you think snipers are in an ok spot right now, I agree. Fundamentally they are fine. Just if I'm peppering you in the dome with a primary, you shouldn't have a chance of killing me. It'll fix the sniper rifle's risk/reward complex, which IMO leans heavily toward reward. Tell me, what risk is involved chilling behind the fight, picking off people as they run across?

  • 100% on the last part of your statement. Extremely lower risk standing half way behind cover, take a few hits just tuck in and heal, pop back out and score that head shot on a guy who need 4 to kill you. Snipers act like they shouldn't be challenged at range... if my scout is doing full damage to your face... your in my range. And they just sit there trying to time the flinch! I'll land 3 shots and still feel like I'm gonna loose with that red glint starring me down. At very least they need random flinch but should also get the shotgun treatment with slower wepon swap, slower ADS and slower movement speed.

  • Bungie messed up making the snipers and shotguns. None should be a one hit kill. I mean they want reality behind their guns then why dont other guns get one hit kills too. A better balance would be using a sniper reduces your armor.

  • Agreed. If you get the drop on a sniper and start shooting at him, his only option for survival should be to find cover and re engage he's not being shot at.

  • It is your own fault when you shoot a sniper straight on and he or she survives and kills you. Do not say that i put so many bullets into a sniper and they should of died because that's being conformation biased.

Let's say we even traded, but unfortunately you body shotted me again? Isn't being a sniper suppose to be precision tool? Is that a way of saying the aim assist is unfortunately to high an sticky for me to keep shooting you while your reticles are still able to stay on me? Or if I'm landing shots on you and this time instead you're constantly slamming that shooting button but luckily, you're able to snag that head shot without a death an slim health, well shit, isn't that a example of low flinch at its fullest? You shouldn't have had a chance to even do that. Or maybe should we even go further an say a overall stability across the board should be nerfed further to reduce something like that to happen? Not biased. This is purely head on and a perfect example of how the cruicble flows right now with snipers.

  • If he or she is better than you and they know how to survive with red bar health then you shouldn't challenge those type of snipers. I just think you want snipers to be underpowered rather then balanced. Nerfing to what extent? So you no longer die by a sniper is that what you want?

No need to go further. If you're not admitting to what is literally in your face, then stop right here. Biased to the max.

  • So true. I've used every single special weapon at one point or another, and snipers were the easiest to pick up for me. (Use only fusions at the moment) At the beginning of TTK, I taught myself to snipe using only an Eirene, and once I got good, I put on a Yasmin. I had never used a sniper prior. Ever. In 2 weeks, I taught myself to snipe proficiently. It was a joke at how easy it was to use snipers w/ high AA. Also, I really did hit some shots that were ridiculous. Saying this from the other end of the scope, if I'm getting nailed in the dome by a scout, I shouldn't be able to kill you. The flinch really is a joke and needs to be toned up, or you need to get kicked out of ADS like in Halo.

  • Seriously. Not only are the mechanics easy the maps do all the work for you. I just played two games with a sniper God. First was memento, I don't how if that the right spelling. Every time in every spot he was right there, head level, snap shot, quick scoped. Not a damn thing I could do. Next match, shores of time. He was still godly but I could flank and work around him, killed him just about as often as he killed me. The maps make it so easy to snipe!
