Toland is still floating around in the Hive netherworld. I believe he may take Oryx's place as king of the Hive. Not 100% sure, but I've seen evidence to suggest that.

But isn't oryx only one of the three hive kings?

No. Oryx is THE king, but he does have two sisters, who were crippled or killed by Oryx.

This could be true as he kind of helped us kill Oryx so he may want him dead so that he can become the next King.
