well why just sunsingers ?
hunter has smoke grenades with DOT
Titans have melee with DOT

But there subclasses don't focus on the DoT effect.

true but they will get affected, if smoke grenade has no DOT and Titan mele has no DOT you'll end up dead you still have to change your style, sunsinger super always been weak for me, I never activate it unless I'm playing trials

But smoke isn't only DoT it has suppressing and blinding effects.

You are right about the fact that people who use that stuff will need to change how they play, and Sunsingers are just in a strange place atm as is.
