I don't understand how people are still so salty about this weapon....
It's been nerfed AND they are introducing an item that makes its DoT useless.
At this point this is like breaking a dog's legs and getting mad at the fact that it can still bite you.

Yeah i don't understand. One of the only actual exotics in the game and everyone hates it... Like i wish the last nerf it received was gone and that way that new artifact would be good. Or increase the damage by 1-2 and duration by 1-2

Even at it's prime during HoW, it was still able to be countered. I countered it with many weapons. Bad players blame DoT or the "green" effect but that's a lame excuse. If I got hit I was behind cover or moving before they could land that second kill shot. If you sat down, you recovered pretty fast. All you have to do is keep moving or shoot from behind cover. But some dummies would stand still, out in the open, then cry when they got 2-shotted. I mean, some people are just lazy and/or bad but they can't accept that there are better players than them in this world. So it must be the weapon or ability, right? Nerf herders are usually just bad players and that's just the way it is. I've never had a problem with any weapon, ability or super and I've always played all 3 classes/9 sub classes. adapt or die.

Even then, it forced you to play in a way that was not very much fun. The DoT from across the map was enough to immediately take you out of the action for a short time. Gonna wait and see for this new version, but I understand why people are salty.

The Adapt or Die motto is so irrelevant to Thorn because it wasnt balanced. It wasnt rock paper scissors because thorn beat everything and i have no idea why it needs a buff. Its exotic perk is free extra damage, tracking and forcing someone to take cover waiting for regen. How about those thorn users suck it up and adapt.

If dethroning toxic is something good can we give TLW the "kick the bleeding broken corpse until it can't do anything" treatment like they did to thorn? I mean, TLW had a possible Ttk that was so fast you'd die before you knew what hit you. Thorn at least you had a chance to beat.

Well, I'm salty about it for personal reasons. They nerfed the Suros and auto rifles to complete shit within a month of the game's release, but took a year to even nerf the Thorn and TLW to acceptable weapons. I prefer autos, so the fact that they did that hella pissed me off lol

well they did have to buff Thorn fist, as it was about the weakest thing around until the Dec 2014 weapons patch .......

and its as weak as it was then thanks to the nerf. Buff burn to 4 damage and 5 ticks that is reasonable and fair to both sides.

I saw a Twitter post but I sadly can't find it again, it had a picture of thorn, but the part that you load the bullets into was a salt shaker with a mound of salt under it.

Inb4 they buff the dot slightly in preparation for that artifact.

The last time I remember dying from the DoT was the HoW hand cannon meta (maybe an exaggeration, but you get the point. It's rare that the burn will finish you off after all the nerfs)
