Consoles are cheaper and easier for gaming. Not everyone needs a thousand dollar gaming rig for their after work hobby

The price usually balances out with the facts that PC gamers get huge sales, more exclusives, things like emulators and the option to pirate

This guy gets it

No they are not. You can choose to have the option to have a thousand dollar rig that can crush every game. No one is forcing you to buy it, also it's not easier for gaming, anyone who has been born in the past 40 years should know how to operate a computer, people act like running a game is rocket science compared to consoles.

Console gaming is easier, that's a fact. You can buy it, go home, plug in, play. Can't do that with a comp. Buying/building/updating/upgrading a PC is and will always be 1000x more maintenance than a console. It has the occasion console update and the occasional game patch. Taking care of your comp is so much more. A console is also way cheaper than a gaming pc. If all you are doing is gaming then why choose a PC? Furthermore computer chairs suck, and imo mouse and keyboard blow. I assume lots of people like to be comfortable after a days work chilling and gaming. The couch and large tv are the way better option, especially for your posture and vision

This guy wins!

Literally everything you said was wrong.
Console gaming is easier, that's a fact. You can buy it, go home, plug in, play. Can't do that with a comp.
Yes you can. And it may surprise you, but PC has the exact same amount of cables, just a power cable, and an HDMI/VGA. Literally all you have to do is plug it in and play it.
Buying/building/updating/upgrading a PC is and will always be 1000x more maintenance than a console. It has the occasion console update and the occasional game patch. You can upgrade your PC whenever you want, you don't need to upgrade that often, but when you do, the option is there. That's the joy of having a freedom.
A console is also way cheaper than a gaming pc. If all you are doing is gaming then why choose a PC? Again, thank you for shining another light on having freedom, with a PC, I'm not restricted to only gaming. I can really do anything at the same time, meanwhile the only reason most people buy a console will be for gaming. Also gamepads are a thing.
I assume lots of people like to be comfortable after a days work chilling and gaming. Also couch and large tv aren't objectively a better option, playing on a monitor won't hurt your vision or posture.
