The idea that the Traveler is evil is compete nonsense and people need to stop touting it as gospel. It isn't an exaggeration to say quite literally [b][i][u]everything[/u][/i][/b] in the lore and story so far would need to retconned for it to even be a possibility. The idea is outright refuted at every turn.

It's not completely out of the question, but it's not the only answer

It's possible, in the same way it's possible Hive and humans are the same species. Sure it could be thrown in a cheap "twist," but we have mountains of evidence saying otherwise and nothing to even suggest it's true. It would be piss poor writing on Bungie's part all in the name of "shock value" that wouldn't actually shock anyone.
