With the power of the worms, Oryx changed from proto to modern Hive. She was frozen for a long time so she didnt change much, but when she met with the Ecumene or whoever it was, she must have realised that Oryx and his family have changed and must have found a way to change herself. Shes smart so Im expecting this much from her. Its speculation I know, but then that would be a waste of story otherwise. She is almost single handedly the reason the Hive are what they are today, as in the reason Aurash and her sisters first had to escape which began everything. It would be quite poor to see her just killed off without much of anything.
