I'd recommend it, I've been doing my best to keep up with the manga and it's pretty enjoyable. If you ever watched/read Katekyo Hitman Reborn(major recommendation if you haven't and have time for 200 episodes or so), it does suffer from the same issue that one had for a while in that while it's not as bad as KHR was on the matter the main character does take a while to stop running in dweeby circles with one thumb up his ass.
