There's no reason why a consciousness unfortunate enough to be born into the body of any animal that isn't human should be treated brutally and slaughtered just for existing. Being vegetarian isn't that hard, and I implore everyone do so.

This guy eats plants! Did you know plants are alive, not just colorful things that grow for no apparent reason? If you won't eat meat that's farmed, you shouldn't eat plants that are farmed.

Not necessarily. Back when today's farming species were still prominent in the wild, they had many natural predators. Nature would most likely do the work for us in terms of population control.

Same with being born into a plant since those too are alive. I also don't think a lion would care all that much while it's eating a gazelle in the wild, which probably has all types of good juicy meat in it. I encourage everyone to enjoy what they like eating.

Unlike lions/gazelles however, plants, although they may technically be "alive," do not have sentience. They are incapable of making any decision on their own, and the decisions they do make are merely reflex.

Livestock are, for the most, part treated well before slaughter.

The vast majority of meat-harvesting companies use a technique called "factory farming." Look it up and then tell me how well they're treated.
