H2's is pretty majestic.
I also quite enjoyed BioShock 2's. Seeing Rapture at its peak, as well as familiar faces like masquerade masks, Little Sisters, etc., was pretty awesome.
And while I'm a big fan of the mystery and antique presentation of Myst, Riven's music was incredible, and Atrus actually telling you what you should be doing was a refreshing change from the vague wandering of the first game. Don't get me wrong, I love Myst's initial atmosphere, the enigma posed to you by this bizarre island with no inhabitants. But that minimalist narrative applied to Riven, a much larger initial area and more storytelling therein, would have been overwhelming.

All of Bioshock's are cool, and myst goes back a while

Yup. But Bio2's opening cutscene is much more fleshed out than the other two. Considering they're both introductions to their respective game worlds, that's not a surprise. As for Myst, I didn't actually get into it until 2010, 17 years after the first game released. And yes, it does look like an antique now. But god. The atmosphere, the setting, the puzzles. Some of the best in any game I've ever played. Absolutely incredible, even by today's standards. The sequel was even better. The series got much worse as time progressed, unfortunately, to the point where I don't even consider Uru a Myst game, and number 5 is a mess. But hey, at least they started fantastically strong.

I only played Myst out of the series, and I played in the early 2000's. Still a great game!

Edited by Tartan 118: 7/29/2016 3:10:04 PMRiven is uh-mazing. The way it blends the story with the setting with the puzzles is unlike anything else I've ever played. The graphics are also great, even by today's standards, and the music and characters are sublime. I often listen to the OST, and Gehn is one of gaming's coolest and most interesting villains. Fun fact: Marty O'Donnell, of former Bungie fame, did the audio effects on. It was the game that convinced him videogames could become a form of art rather than simply blasts of mindless fun. I'll have to look into Riven, because I loved Myst and I'm sure Riven would be great. And Marty did the soundtrack for the game?
-
No, that was Robyn Miller. Co-founder of Cyan, co-creator of Myst, played Sirrus in the first one. Also did the sound for the first game. Robyn Miller did the music, but Marty did the sound effects. Like the clicks of buttons and creaks of doors, etc.

Oh ok.
