The casuals that don't want universal remote nerfed are what's wrong with the game and the fact that Bungie continues to cater to the lowest common denominator makes it worse. Who the hell thinks it takes more skill to slide shotgun into people than it does to hit jump shots or drag scopes consistently. Before you start to complain about flinch and aim assist on a sniper, or getting domed by kids at close range with a thousand yard, take into consideration that maybe, just [i]maybe[/i] that person was more skilled than you. Aim assist doesn't mean a damn thing in mid air when you can hardly rely on the reticle for accuracy.
I think giving the player base the ability to run two secondary weapons was a god awful idea, which hardly would've been a problem (and wasn't at release) if bungie didn't destroy everything they touch without considering the possible consequences and what nerfs may give rise to other weapons' perceived op-ness. Who complained about snipers besides final round in Y1? Who even used the mida in Y1?
Universal remote is a crutch, simple as that. If the only way you can win is by running a shotgun [i]and[/i] a sniper and abusing the hell out of the former, then I feel bad for ya.

It's not great that the UR is a primary. I'd much rather have a primary and shotgun. The party crasher is also much better than the UR. I love seeing you kids whine about an actually balanced gun. I also find it funny that it's coming from a kid running the last word and 1k stare.

Honestly i'd much rather have it as a secondary too. It is a shotgun. Unless turning it into a primary drastically changes the functionality of the gun, i kind of don't want to see it. At least if Uni ran out of ammo, like every other shotgun it can be compared to. It wouldn't be the only gun some people need, and also skirt the whole special ammo boxes thing that was implemented to keep special ammo in check.

It does run out of ammo quite frequently. If you stay alive for that long and for the fact that it usually takes 2 shots to kill since the range isn't that great. If you're up close, sure it's a kill, but other shotguns like conspiracy and party crasher usually win the fight.

You're just good if you stay alive that long. Most of the time it's just jousting. Constant, unnecessary trading, with a considerable amount of winning the damage trades and running off with a smidgen of health.

Exactly. Using the UR against other shotguns is really just trading. Unless I go up against a Party Crasher. I'll shoot from the same distance and take half off the opponent and they'll kill me. The range, stability, reload time, damage, spread, aim assist, ready time, and I'm sure more is better than the UR on the party crasher.
