who is already saving exotic engrams for the next dlc
i know im not the only one doing it

no thx. not gonna rush through the dlc (if i buy it) in 3 days. thats the worst you can do. youre probably one of the first who comes to the forum crying that theres nothing left to do.

I no they won't decrypt into new ROI exotics but i am am stacking up on them for the reputation with the cryptarch. Also i am stacking up on three of coins heavy ammo synth (faction rep) strange coins and motes of light.

That won't work. It will be a different loot table like it was for TTK. Save your 3 of coins instead.

I mean it would help for sure. But I think I'll just play through it at a slow pace. I'm so freakin bored with destiny I can't stand it so I don't think I wanna rush through anything.

Better to save the strange coins since the new engrams will have to drop first. No way around it I'm afraid but look at it this way, you can buy three of coins and whatever new shinies xur sells when Rise Of Iron drops.

I'd rather not burn myself out and be max level/ light as soon as it drops. If you want to feel free. But I will be taking it slow and enjoying it.

71 so far. Saving for crypt rank up and packages. Anything else, would be an added bonus, but not expected. Also saving strange coins, motes, mays, etc. Fill postmaster with blues/ legendarys from patrol. They all help with rank up, mats, and glimmer.

I have been since i got all the new exotics in year two and all the year 1 ones brought up to year 2.

2 RepliesNo they won't work. I have all exotic weapons and armor at 335 so I'm saving all my motes, weapon parts, materials and strange coins so I can rank my factions up when the expansion comes out.

Yep, because ya never know. I already have the exotics I want and if I need shards I use the truth method. I don't see how it could hurt and could possibly be beneficial.

When I read your post my 1st impression was that you were a new player and that I'd have to tell you why you should not do this. I quick scan and I see you should know already why you should not do this. Yet it appears you have suffered a brain fart. It doesn't work for PAID DLC. Never has. Free expansions, you bet, fill your vault.

Basically I m missing only zen meteor, any other exotic engram (non special weapon) goes to my vault since April.
