Current Front Lines perk: When enemies are close, rate of fire increases markedly. Damage decreases by 15%. Instead of actually improving, Fabian simply transforms from a Haakon-type AR to a Doctrine-type AR. Not really better,. just different.
Easy fix: Delete the 15% damage loss. Fabian will cease to be "take this piece of crap apart for the exotic shard" and become "this gun is why it's great to be a Titan". Even decreasing the damage dropoff to about 7% would make the gun at least justify an exotic slot.

Yea it becomes a Doctrine type AR with a magazine size of Haakon-AR. The perk arguably makes it worse.

Never thought that way but you're right. If an exotic perk makes a gun worse, it's not only acceptable to shard it, but almost prudent.
