king Claudius killed Hamlets father, the former king with poison. Hamlets finds out and confirms this but is still conflicted on wether he should kill Claudius. Several incredibly complicated and avoidable deaths happen. Until it all cumulates into the final scene where Claudius and another guy plot for Hamlets life. The other guy has a poisoned sword and just in case Hamlet does win Claudius has a poisoned drink to give him at the end. Hamlets mother drinks from the cup that's poisoned. Hamlet puts the two and two together. The other guy with the poisoned sword confesses ( Hamlet did get cut once in a dirty move ) and Hamlet loses it. He takes the poisoned sword, impales Claudius and then forced him to drink from the poisoned cup. The other guy who had the poisoned sword originally has already died from a fatal blow and Hamlet dies from the poison.
