You're screwed they don't have the "ability" to restore characters because they're a joke of a company that stores characters on their end of the game.

Letting us store our own characters would make Destiny so damn easy to hack..It's a better idea for them to store our characters for us.

What's the point in them storing them if they can't even do the simple task of restoring a character? Yes if we had them on our end it would be easy to hack like you can in borderlands series for example. But I went on D3 deleted my demon hunter (bank one) and hit the restore last character deleted option and poof it's back in my character roster with everything that was on the character.

Epic fail If people stored characters locally then people would eventually figure out how to edit their to change their stats and gear All games of this type store the character data online As I stated earlier, last year people were constantly trying to trick bungie with restoration requests. Them bit offering any restorations deals with that.

IIRC the PC version stores the data locally causing an epidemic of cheaters. Tough this might have changed sometime after the first couple weeks.
