I gave up on rng in general and packages specifically. I was grinding for a soulstealers. But there isn't a point because they needed it. Whatever you truly for will get nerfed so I stopped wasting the time and effort. But hoj rep takes a long time and not enough bounties. I just stopped doing it. Plus I'm not fond of Poe. Especially for a class item or side arm.

  • i still did farm for a few items, although played the hell out of it, never got! not to mention that if still drop, not sure if it'll have the right rolls, what would mean it would be wasted time then too...yes, at the end i came to the point that it#s best to give up and so i do...but poor, that bungie has no clue and interest to find out how to balance effort and reward well...as it is now, with the drop rates destiny 10 could be released and you still might never get an item you out for with the right rolls...and to me, it does not respect the time gamers put into it...

  • I TOTALLY agree on the point about balancing effort with reward. I'll admit I'm not an MMO player and thus i don't remotely find it fun to grind for weeks or months and get nothing. That's not my cup of tea. I totally get that some Warcraft player may be fine with that but me I will honestly just quit. So like i don't do nightfalls cause it's not worth the time for no good reward. i've had bad luck with strike rewards so I don't do those either because guns rarely drop for me. I stopped raiding after i spent 3 hours doing a Kings fall all the way through Oryx and got no weapons or armor at all just moldering shards. I may have got a cloak on oryx but i got no weapons. That may have been the last time i attempted the raid. Not worth my time. POE is the same. I just don't want to do what i don't want to do let alone for like a 1% chance of getting a gun at all let alone a good gun. But i'm a filthy casual. What can i say? lol. I burnout easily.

  • understand....but have to admit, that raid loot was at least improved a bit and with challenge mode not that bad anymore...but for everything else the rewards nearly never justify the effort...i don't even mind grinding that much...when there is a realistic and fair chance on good stuff...but as it is now, i guess, it's simply not

yeah i haven't had much luck and never liked kings fall. So when i wasn't having fun it made it even harder to endure the length and disappointment. Now i pretty much only do iron banner. And rng blew for me last iron banner even on that. my rank five packages were two boots and class item lol.

  • to me, believe IB can be fun to those who like pvp, but if it's for the loot, it's not worth, the more, as the items that drop until rank 5 are only things saladin sells alreadys and then only with low light...however, wish you best luck on whatever you do ,)
IB can be fun to those who like pvp
yep pretty much. If pvp isn't your thing you may not like it. I'm a pvp person. I actually only played Destiny because i saw a youtube vid of pvp beta. PVE wasn't even in my vocabulary. As a person that buys a COD and then doesn't play the single player boy was i pissed when i put Vanilla Destiny in and you actually had to play single player story to unlock pvp. Yeah i was really annoyed. lol. What's funny is in the beginning i was really disappointed with crucible. It was way unbalanced. people had suros. I wanted one and never got one until after it was nerfed like 9 months later. So I really ended up just doing a whole lot of patrol. As a gamer.
the items that drop until rank 5 are only things saladin sells alreadys and then only with low light
That's partly true. Yes they are the same items for sale at Saladin BUT the items dropped are ALL at a light near where you are (like when decoding exotics) and for me that means 100%of the drops are at high light. I'm 335 so everything that drops is always 334 or 335. And recently most of the weapons have been near god rolls. For me it's a monumentally better way to level up things. It's worth it for infusion fuel. For example, i took every heavy i had to 335 and every helmet i had to 334 or 335. Now the one caveat is my account is bugged and primary weapons rarely drop so when a primary is the reward i get very few drops. People say its just RNG but i'm convinced there's a problem in my account cause it's been like that since day vanilla. But yeah if pvp isn't your thing iron banner isn't fun. In fact i actually took a good look at what i like and asked myself if i was having fun and i wasn't so it was time for a break. I didn't like Trials, got more fun watching other people do kings fall on twitch than doing it myself, felt strikes were boring. even iron banner felt like a bit of a chore. And so had started burning out maybe a couple months ago. I'll still observe though, and i'll watch people do the raids for worlds first. That was actually really cool to watch live. I learned to do VOG on Broman's stream so it was cool to see them get world's first. And i'll see what happens with Destiny 2. I could see them having some sort of cataclysm that resets the destiny world and basically sets everyone back to zero. And who knows maybe Rise is so interesting that i feel compelled to pick it back up. Either way i'll at least stay observant of the destiny goings on.
