Can someone please explain the "Agility" stat's function?

I'm actually confused about this thing. You see in Y1 I thought Agility mainly affected your Movement speed and your intial vertical jump (This hardly ever came into play with anything but It's in the description so I included it) but recently I've been hearing people say it Agility has nothing to do with your sprint speed which leaves me with 2 questions. What is agility supposed to do and if it doesn't have anything to do with your sprint speed why does it increase it the more you spec for it? I'm super confused right now lol.

          • I swear just from experience it affects sprint speed. Now I have to go test to see for myself.

          • Agility affects your Walking Speed (not sprint) as well as Jump Height. This is why even though Titans have the lowest Agility, they can still be the fastest class in the game.

            • Agility is like a house fly Speed is like a freight train. The train is faster than the fly but the fly can jump out of the way of the train Makes sense ?

                • It's literally only useful for blink. I really feel the difference with high agility blink vs low.

It increases your walk speed (strafe faster) and jump height.

                    • If you jump between 2 posts, for example, more agility will allow you to change your direction in mid air to a greater degree, turn sharper, etc. As far as running and walking speed goes, get someone else with you, have a foot race, then crank up your agility and re-race. Make sure no one is using the arc blade speed perk (or is it gunsinger?) or carrying a weapon that gives speed and agility boosts.

                    • I don't know now that you ask but it seems to effect my general movement. I'm a Sunsinger so to get that armor up you often scrafice agility. So I use my gear and obsessively align it with what I'm doing. I can tell a difference in everything but we don't run a lot. Our Burst jump is faster. But I see it in that, my slides, my turns, etc. I would say it effects everything but since some people don't take as much time as others to align things it may vary. I know at full agility I hop and move faster than anyone I have every played with. I used to go high agility and double grenades. I would hop around and stick people and run.

                    • Without a doubt it affects sprint speed. It's night and day when I switch to my shoulder charge Titan compared to my max armor Titan.

According to some ppl who favor their Titans, agility shouldn't affect speed, just turning radius. Sounds like crap to me.

                      • It doesn't affect sprint speed. It affects all of the other on-ground movement, though. The only class perks that will make you run faster are on Nightstalker and Bladedancer.
