I agree with you concerning the bit about the argument being silly, but nothing else.
Several classes, Bladedancer and Stormcallers for example, have no counter to the Ward except to enter and challenge the Defender. Suppressing enemies inside the Ward would make it go from too easy to counter to impossible to counter. It's just not going to happen.
The "neutral" columns available to the Defender contain four talents that affect the super and nothing else. No other class has a similar circumstance. That, in my estimation, is the real problem with Defender. You want to take one of the two talents that grants an effect apart from Ward of Dawn and replace it with another talent that only affects Ward of Dawn. That is a move in entirely the wrong direction.
The Ward is somewhat comparable to the Sunsinger's Radiance in that (with the exception of the deployable cover) it primarily buffs the Defender in the capacity in which he would normally engage enemies. If the Defender's neutral game were to see improvement, as I assert is needed, it would have the effect of increasing his capacity to fight in and around the Ward as well.

Bladedancer and Stormcaller can counter the bubble from outside. Bladedancer has Razor's edge/Encore and Stormcaller has Landfall and its lightning. It is not impossible to counter and never will be.
It is not impossible to counter and never will be.
It would be if it suppressed enemies who entered it, for some classes. And you're right, they won't do that. Landfall by itself does not pop the bubble. That was one of the nerfs that Stormcaller received in April. The only way to use it to counter Ward of Dawn would be to unleash it inside the bubble, which you can't do while suppressed. Storm Trance's lightning won't arc to the Ward, and can't be used to pop it. Likewise, Encore does you no good if you lose your super before you hit anyone in the bubble. I doubt very much that they would make an optional talent like Razor's Edge the only way the Bladedancer could counter the Ward, since that would mean running with Vanish would make you completely unable to fight it.

First off, I said Landfall AND the lighting (and yes, the lightning can damage the bubble), and second, the Sbowstopper ability was what I meant not Encore (sorry about that), which can still be used outside of the bubble as well. Finally, if you are using Vanish, then just don't attack th Defender Titan that is inside the bubble or switch to one of the two other options. It isn't like the bubble will follow you, so it is easy to get away, especially with Vanish.
