Hey remember the time where Bungie closed down the forums to only people who have accounts linked to playing Destiny? That was an even bigger middle finger to the community that supported them from the Halo days, or even before.
Bungie does not give a shit about the community. If you thought they did, you were wrong.

They at least showed SOME moderation of consideration before. With Halo, they had severed ties, so I tried to overlook that. But this is an even bigger middle finger because I paid $130 for a -blam!-ing necklace that was marketed as a special item for a special occasion. I guess I see now the folly of what I did. I have no one but myself to blame, but I'm pretty -blam!-ing bitter about it though. Everyone said it was Activision that was the money-hungry company, but now I'm not so sure. At least Activision doesn't make any pretenses. This is the first time I've been so disillusioned entirely by a company that I trusted.
