Sun singer is balanced right now. The game is in the best place it's ever been. Stop crying cuz you can't kill everyone with one Grenade and one bullet. Try using a primary. Git Gud scrub.

  • Not it isn't. I've been playing SS since the first week of the game....and this last nerf basically broke the subclass for every part of the game except 3v3 and Rumble. A broken subclass isn't balanced,...and it isn't in "good place" simply because it isn't annoying you anymore. Bungie should have stood their ground against nerfing them....because they were right. But they ended up caving to the whining of Trials players in the end. In typical Bungie fashion, they nerfed SS with a chainsaw, when what was needed was a scalpel. The change to Viking Funeral from a DoT attack to a Damage potentiating debuff WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT TO ADDRESS WHAT WAS BOTHERING TRIALS PLAYERS. But the nerf to firebolts on top of that was unnecessary, and broke the subclass for PVE play. Basically rendering the only AoE weapon in the SS arsenal useless...and crippling BOTH their neutral game, AND their Super as well. Solar grenades are worthless because every PVE enemy in the game is programmed to move away from them. So unless you absolutely PAINT an enemy in them...or trap it in a choke point....they are unreliable. Fusion grenades----while great in PVP----are often a poor choice in PVE. They require you to get very close to your target---which can be a bad idea since many PVE enemies have OHK ground-stomp/melee attacks. Pluse fusions do almost no AoE damage if you fail to stick them to your target. So no. Just like Sunbreakers, SSs were over nerfed. Only the subsequent BUFF has brought Sunbreakers back into balance from being broken and underpowered. Likewise, Bungie is going to have to buff firebolts and SS back to something more reasonable. Because---right nown----other than coming back from the Dead and doing solar damage, there is NOTHING that a SS can do in PvP or PVE that a VW or a SC can't do...and do BETTER.

  • I just farmed this pulse rifle. I will use whatever I want. You're just jealous of my rolls. I'm a scout rifle player anyway. Thanks for the snap judgment. And I'm not the one crying nerf on the forums so stfu. Thx.

  • It is not balanced. It was balanced before the nerf. I still use it though and just spam fusion grenades.

  • Yep. We've never been this close to balance before. Cut the duration of storm caller, or make it go faster while wasted like blade dance and call it a day.

  • Again. NO. You'll just BREAK the damn subclass for PVE. Unlike every other super, Stormtrance is a DoT attack. If you cut the length of its duration, you also nerf its power output. ...and KNEE cap its crowd-control and boss-DPS functions in PVE.

  • It's an instant kill in pvp. It also does a AOE nova bomb on activation.

  • Stormtrance is not an istant-kill. Its a DoT kill. It happens rapidly, but you have to keep it on your target for about a second in order to kill. Also you have to spec into that "FoH"-like AoE (Landfall)...and in picking that ability you give up other ones. But most importantly, Its duration is INTIMATELY connected to its damage output in PVE. Where---against high-power targets-----you literally have to stay on close proximity to them and burn them over many seconds in order to inflict damage. Stop asking the game to be made easier, and just adapt. Yeah it sucks when you die twice to the same super....but then if you die twice you made TWO mistakes. Deal with it.

  • What!? Blade dance is hella powerful. Things get nerfed because of trials mainly, and bladedancer is much more widely used in all crucible modes. It does not need a nerf, the only thing looking for a tiny nerf is strikers. Make their SC do full damage only if they have full melee, if not make it do 75% but have increased knock back. Or just decrease the tracking on it.

  • No nerf to SC. If anything just a longer cooldown. The problem isn't that its a OHK. The problem is that you have assholes who do nothing but run around and SPAM that ability. They never use their primary. They just run around and SC you, or look to shotgun you.
