So basically the fact that we repeat every single strike and kill Valus Ta'aurc (is that how you spell the last part?) 1,000 times over is canon. Literally every time he resurrects is canon. Ok.

Honestly we don't know. Bungie could make it so we've been in a simulation this whole time. Or maybe the traveller creates some sort of time distortion that engulfed the entire solar system and locked it in a loop. We just don't know.
