Honestly I don't expect much to change considering it's only a 30% damage drop. It had more issues than just damage.
Such as:
Sniper rifle range
Automatically snaps to targets
Doesn't miss
Doesn't truly "turn", just sort of phases to it's new target
Never runs out of ammo
Easily to replace as he can put one down the moment it's gone, or simply create a new one right before it dies.
Fires the second you are aquired (which is the moment you enter it's line of sight). No spin up time needed.

was honestly just a lazy way to nerf it. There were many other areas to be tweeked and they just looked at the list & said "-blam!- that, 30% damage nerf". Then again it is Blizzard, they are well known for FOTM type buffs & nerfs.

Lazy? This damage will fix alot of it (not that he's a problem anyway) it'll put his dps down so people have to time to react which is what the "issue with him is".

They could have lowered the damage + tweaked anything else from the list as well without just drastically dropping the damage. The TF2 Turret comes to mind.
