  • I skimmed over the rest and you're still wrong. That logic is still stupid. It's a melee that's got a base distance way further than any other base melee and it gives and overshield on hit. There is nothing and no right for anyone to call scorch even a mediocre melee when it's one of the best melee.

  • but the follow up melee takes way too long. the shield have been nerfed a couple of times. defender shields are stronger and proc on shotty kill. strikers get a shield from running around and regen after shoulder kills. and now sunsinger burn gives more shield to the opponent. i think they have a long range melee (which have been much better) because it compensates for their terrible movement. but i would like to hear from you what could be done so it could go back to the balance as the other classes?

  • I'm not really conspiring Titans and warlock's in this thread. Their melee is between the others in an effort to balance as the Titans are close range and throwing knives are distance but that logic breaks down after the Hunter has no charge and their melee gets down to little over Titan range and BD has a range of blink strike of about a warlock melee and it also goes down to the shit range as well. I honestly put the flame shield delay in the same category as the throwing knife grenades, throwing knives, trip mines, and the delay on invisibility. The nerf sort of ruined the point of the ability and I don't get why they did it.

  • I've not been on any anti sunsinger threads. Actually just want some of their useless perks to be made to support teammate's. In pve they're a pain with their selfish loadouts. All the other support classes are 90% supporting teammate's except for the sunsinger.

I'm not asking for a better melee, I'm asking for the subclass to be made better for supporting allies.

    Actually no, your post doesn't. It doesn't really say or suggest anything. Calling scorch subpar is about all you do in your post. You don't suggest any nerfs or buffs and don't even talk about anything other than that Viking funeral and firebolt were annoying. Oh and you claim it was nerfed to the ground which it wasn't.

  • The reality is that it was he second least hit by the nerfs(the least being sunbreakers which were buffed) Viking funeral wasn't never a good pve perk and it was okay in pvp but the real power of the class wasn't touched. I'm not a fan of the delay on flame shield but I get the logic behind it .i also get why they changed Viking funeral, trying to give it more of a support perk that's between melting point and black hole. But fusion grenades, radiant skin, double grenades, angle of light, solar grenades, and the smaller perks weren't touched which are far more powerful in pvp and pve. Sad thing is I know that sunsinger's in pve are still going to be a middle finger to their teammate's and choose extended radiance timer rather than Viking funeral making the change pointless. Really the nerf didn't change the level of power of the sunsinger you just have to shift it slightly from firebolt+ Viking funeral.

  • The second least hit by nerfs? Clearly you don't know what your talking about. The removal of VK brings the nerf count to 4 nerfs on melee and 5 nerfs to grenades. Not even going to elaborate on the subject with you.

  • Are you forgetting the ninja nerf to Rezlocks from 2.0 (firebolt nade damage was nerfed and yet nobody said a thing until we noticed)

  • St one perk so it's one nerf, not 4. Saying that shows that you want to pretend that warlock's were a victim in the nerfs, and they really weren't. And as they had two nerfs and hunters had 7 nerfs it's the hardest hit. Though that makes warlock's the second most nerfed as there are only three classes but their nerf was so small and weak calling it the second least nerfed is the better wording.

  • One perk nerf can equal more than one nerf, look at hungering blade. Remove that and see how many bladedancers point out that it was a double nerf.

  • No one would point it out they would call it one nerf. Like how in my count of nerfs on the hunters I counted the three nerfs to arc blade as one. If I counted it for each thing it would be more like 20 nerfs and with your logic the warlock was nerfed 1/4 of that number.

  • Ok I'll double it because our melee and grenades are also our super. 18 for sunsingers I win ;) if you think it was so soft go run one, see how hard you laugh out of frustration when your neutral game is garbage you pop your super and you still can't kill shit.

  • First of all no, as the base scorch does the burn which make it count for two under your math, and the grenades count as 6 if you stupidly consider them part of the super and then that equals 8 not 16. And 8 is still half of the 20 under your math that was done to the hunters. You are not only dumb about destiny but don't understand math as you think 18 is a higher number than 20.
