Vex are cyborgs

Not really. Cyborgs are humans who are aided by mechanical devices or implants. Vex do not have a body. They simply have a mind that has some control over a part of the Vex network and it machines. I would describe Vex as some sort of a hybrid between a cyborg and a weapon. [spoiler]I always thought that Vex and Cybermen from Doctor Who have a lot in common[/spoiler]

You mean Daleks. Yeah they are like them.

No, I mean Cybermen. Daleks are mutated beings who live in a weapon suit of sorts. They still have a physical form and feelings. Cybermen are human like beings, controlled by a single living thing in them (brain and in some cases nervous system) and they too, like Vex, are ultimately controlled by a Mind. Both are controlled by a hive mind, both lack emotion, both have only their minds left organic.

All things in the Grimoire said by a character are not reliable. If you read the Vex grimoire, or any grimoire for that matter, you will find that The Gardens Heart is not in control of the Vex. And if reading the Grimoire is too tough, then use basic logic. We killed the heart, but Vex still live. This means that Vex are a hive mind controlled by multiple Minds, not a drone army held together by one. What The Heart could be, is worm larvae stolen from Oryx by Quria. The Vex worshipping it were last of the Vex who were assigned to worship it, hoping to reach ontologial results. These results were reached when the larvae created life after we tried killing it.
