I don't have a lot of evidence but I still think we'll find out that Rasputin is the traveler.

I know and I get that. But where is the traveler? The say he has gone dormant and at the same time that Rasputin goes online again, after how long? I guess just the conspiracy theorist in me lol.

How do you justify/explain the Traveler transforming Eliksni/Fallen centuries before he has contact with humanity and Rasputin? Or the countless other civilizations prior to humanity. Or are you suggesting Rasputin has in some way "taken" over the Traveler and has gained its powers and knowledge after the Traveler arrived at Terra? And thus is the Traveler.

Doesn't lore mention that the traveler shows up to help then leaves like it's constantly on the run? Isn't there also a theory that Rasputin somehow stop the traveler from leaving? Just what if the traveler found that safe haven and didn't have to run anymore. Whether he assumed the mantel of Rasputin or they became one with each other it just might explain why the traveler never left. Let me just mention that I'm trying to understand the lore more and this is just a theory that could be well hidden in the lore.

That make a little more sense now. So you're saying your theory is the Traveler got to Earth, discovered Rasputin and took him over. The one hole in that theory however is, and I might be incorrect on timeline, but Rasputin was made by humans during the Golden Age. So time wise it wouldn't hold up, but it's an interesting theory that the Traveler is actually hiding within Rasputin.
