It's a good theory and all but it wasn't broken in year 1. So fixing it is only a matter of undoing every nerf that happened in year 2. That would make a lot of people happy too.

It was still there in year one dude

I didn't die to backstab from the front in year one. That began happening when Bungie started messing with melee range and stuff. Blink strike used to lunge (teleport) farther, when they reduced the lunge distance, that's when it started killing people in the front with backstab.

They only just recently reduced the range in June, front stab has been a thing for a while now

There were some changes to Bladedancer at the beginning of year 2, when all year 1 subclasses received some small tweaks in the 2.0 update. And that's when all the melee problems began. And it got even worse for Titans in December when Bungie extended their melee range by 0.2 of a meter because it made hit detection completely inconsistent. The melee update fixed it for everyone except Bladedancers it seems, but I think it's related to the Backstab perk itself and not Blink Strike.

Lol no it most definitely was broken in year one dude.

I never died to front stabs at full health in year one. They broke melees in year 2.
