It was probably Yul being quoted, Akka can only lie to keep his secrets, unless Savathun actually purified the water

Akka can't lie. That's why he doesn't answer auryx when confronted.

Well he didn't lie in this instance, because it would result in Auryx being given the power to call on the Deep, and because this is the way of the Sky he wouldn't have recieved the power of the Deep. The only way he could have answered was with a lie, otherwise he would have agreed with Auryx that he gives nothing
