Someone please correct me if im wrong but it's something wrong with this damn exotic engram system? I just purchased one from xur. And it's level 20!?!. I'm level 40 shouldn't unlocking the engram make it tailored to my level? This is absolutely disgusting that I just wasted $0.29 on something useless. Is there some type of system to this something that I don't understand?
Is it supposed to jump to level 40 ince i unlock the perks? Someone plz help. This is ridic.

It's a lagacy engram. They give only year one gear at year one light levels. That's why they are level 20 and not 40

Also tip from a long term player: don't buy weapons and gear from xur, buy 3 of coins and run strikes. You have a wider variety of possible weapon and armor to receive and it decrypts so I can be above the 280 all his shit is sold at.

I was actually making a comment more about the stupidity of the forums and the fact that posts that claim ignorance of the legacy engrams that have been around since TTK dropped always pop up on Fridays and they're annoying. To a point where you're bitching about not reading made me confused legitimately as it looks just like the troll posts that think they're so damn funny but are just annoying. But seri slyly they've been around since TTK, how do you not know what a legacy engram is?

I don't know what about new to the game you did not understand. But yeah I im new AKA I don't know the system in and out I also have a life you know so naturally I'm not f****** living in this game. When I play I play through strikes and Crucible. If I knew about the system I would not ask a question on the form so next time instead of being a dick head you can ask how familiar I am with the game.

Why would I assume you weren't? You're level 40 and you posted just like a long term troll. New players usually ask questions not include a sort of rant. If you'd posted something like "I bought the Henley engram from xur and got a level 20 helmet. Is this a glitch?" I would have assumed you were new and genuinely confused making my response more of "the helmet engram you bought is a legacy engram. They only give out year one exotics. They're meant more for finishing off people's collections." Then I'd have suggested the 3oC as a better purchase. Note: 3oC can be activated before a crucible match to also give you a chance at an exotic and don't work on the Flayers or Omnigul strikes.
